The most recent Madden 22 patch has removed the the scandalous coach and former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden from the game.
Gruden was criticized and quit as Coach of the Raiders last month , after emails emerged that exposed racist behavior and inappropriate language from the 58-year-old. The messages came from conversations that he had with his players between 2011-18.
EA Sports has made a policy of removing the names of coaches and players who were dismissed or exiled in the wake of the kind of deceitful behavior. It's anticipated that EA will also deactivate WR Henry Ruggs III in the next update.
It was reported that the Raiders let go of Ruggs on Tuesday after his arrest for DUI after a fatal crash which killed a woman as well as her dog. The update could be delayed until December unless EA considers it necessary to have Ruggs removed quicker. Apart from the addition to the Raiders' virtual sideline, the update also updated the beards for Leonard Williams and Tyrann Mathieu.
EA Madden 22 is the latest and one of the most controversial installments of the franchise. While it's better than Madden 21 in some aspects like graphics, it has had a rough start.
Even before the game's launch, Madden 22 players started complaining about issues about the sport. Many expected that EA would resolve the issue before the game was released across the globe, but that wasn't the case.
