Located off of highway 54 on 154 west of Bowling Green just past Curryville. From Highway 61 take 54 West to right on 154, first gravel road on right County Rd #32 (Central Stone Sign) Then left on County rd 27. turn right to parking area and ramp on north side of the lake. From Highway 19 go east on 154 12 miles. It is an old quarry lake of about 50 acres in size and deep in parts - shallow in others. The ramp is red clay-flint and is a bear to launch when the ground is wet-need 4 x 4 after a rain. 10 hp and under allowed. No trot lines or limb lines and no swimming. This area is a must see. Hidden from all the unsuspecting Mark Twain fishermen this lake is a gem. Flooded grass, chunk rock, rock bluffs, timber and lay downs are throughout. All species are great. Bass and crappie seem to be the most productive. I catch nice crappie on crankbaits every time I go. The lake is set up for worm fishing and jig fishing but the many points offer good spots for crankbaits. In the fall this area is spectacular. Deer are everywhere and can be seen watching you fish all day long. Don’t be surprised if you stir a sleeping deer near the boat ramp in the early morning. Water clarity is very good and the entire park is well maintained.
