Robert Taylor's Latest Reports

I went fishing yesterday up from the Demopolis city landing on the Tombigbee River and fished the red clay ledges where the water depth went from 19' to 35'. The crappie were holding on the ledges in about 30 feet of water. I used the drop shot rig again with jigs and caught 17 crappie.

Well everybody,
It's user rlt again and man it is getting mighty hot here in West Central Alabama and the crappie have moved to there summer time deep water areas for the summer, but I took my secret crappie fishing weapon to a slough off of the Black Warrior River and anchored down right over some sunken tree tops in about 14' of water. I lowered my crappie secret weapon down into the water and waited for some action to start. I got there at about 9:00 pm and by 9:38 pm I caught my first crappie that was 13.5 " long. The action increased very quickly and I caught the limit (30) before midnight arrived. Anyway, if you want to know more about the crappie fishing secret weapon go here and click - http://www.systemsalesmachine.com/app/?af=802116. You owe it to yourself to go and check it out and it cost nothing to look, but don't click onto the site unless you want to catch more crappie than anyone else in your area.

I left the Demopolis Landing at about 9:45 pm and arrived at the Black Warrior River bridge and anchored my 962 War Eagle boat on the down stream side of the bridge pilings at around 10:00 pm. I lowered my evening secret fishing weapon down into the water and opened a Sprite as I was getting my rods out of the rod storage box. I used 2 medium action spin cast rod and reel sets spooled with 20lb. test mono Stren line. One rod was set up as a drop shot rig and the other was set up with a slip bobber float, weight and hook. I started out with 1/8 lb. of crappie minnows for bait to fish with. By 10:30 pm I had thousands of shad and river minnows circling counter clock wise around my evening secret fishing weapon. I fished the drop shot rig starting on the bottom and slowly reeling it up one crank at a time with about 5 min. in between cranks, buit I had to put it into the rod holder to get a fish off of the float set up, it was a spotted bass that weighed about 3 lbs. Long story made short, By 12:30 am, I caught 26 crappie, 7 bass, 4 catfish and three stripes and had my 20 lb. test Stren line broke 3 times by either a large stripe bass or big catfish, don't know which. So, if you want to catch a lot of fish in a short period of time, go to this site and check it out - http://www.systemsalesmachine.com/app/?af=802116. It cost you nothing to go look and you owe it to yourself to check it out. Also tell all of your buddies, they will thank you for it in the long run.

I took a close friend of mine Dr. Richard Cagle fishing below the Demopolis lock and dam and he told me that he has never enjoyed a fishing trip more than this one. He is from the Mobile Al. area and does a lot of deep sea fishing, but he said that he has never caught fish in numbers like this trip.
