Just thought I would post this for anyone who really wants to have a fun relaxing time. We like to go down to the local river (for us it's the Meramec and sometimes the Gasconade) we put the boat in at a slab or access and motor up river until we find a nice sand bar. Pitch the tent and get out the ole fishin' poles and let the good times roll. We usually run a trot line just above the sand bar we camp on. The fishing is most always great. We catch catfish, bass, goggle eye, bluegill and even some nice trout. After the trip is done we just load everything in the boat and have a nice float back to where we put in. This is great fun and great fishing too. Just watch for rain and be able to clear out in a quick and safe manner. Them sand bars can disappear quick in a rain. Dave Sr.
