Aburndale Cove 5/18/2012

I went down to the Auburndale cove again today to see if some of my new weedless rigs could fish the developing patches of lily pads. As it turns out, the lily pads are not that thick yet and the bass are hanging out in them!

  • Bait Details: I bought a plastic worm with a weedless stinger rig at walmart last week. I decided to use it down at the cove for getting into those lily pad patches. Boy does it cut through those nicley. Shortly after catching this fish I promptly got it stuck in a tree. Looks like i'm headed back to walmart!
  • Location Details: This guy hit my line about 10 ft from shore. He was just lurking in those weeds! The bass sure are getting bigger down here!
